A merchant can place 8 large boxes or 10 small boxes into one carton for shipping.  In a recent shipment, he sent a total of 96 boxes.  If there were more large boxes than small boxes in the shipment, how many cartons did he ship?

Jenn, while walking through the playground and saw some bicycles with two wheels and some tricycles with three wheels.  She counted the number of wheels as she was passing by and got a total of 12.  How many bicycles and how many tricycles were there?
